The Situation
An operational blend plant required assessments to provide a manageable way to demolish and remediate their site.
Approach
Advisian carried out the demolition and remediation of the plant. This site is still operational. Soil and groundwater assessments were initially undertaken in stages to assess the nature and extent of the impacts, together with Tier 1 and 2 quantitative risk assessments.
Results
The remedial work was designed, implemented and managed by Advisian and comprised:
- Demolition of the blend plant structure and raised platform, together with the removal of tanks and pipework
- Cleaning and removal of ASTs, USTs, and associated pipework
- Excavation of all soils with hydrocarbon and pesticide impacts exceeding the
